Best. First day. Ever.

Wow.

I have made friends with a very sweet dog, found out about ghosting and blurbs and chasing and cover design and a hint at the true meaning of busy, and spent a great day chatting to my new colleagues, who are all very sweet and possess great humour. I have not found the resident arsehole that every job seems to have. If anything, I got asked when my birthday was, as everyone gets a birthday present and a bunch of flowers as a thank you.

This is the crazy part for me - well, it's all crazy - I got paid quite a nice amount to write and edit 200 words. I am also due to get paid on Fri for attending a festival, which is somewhere I was going head to at the weekend anyway.

More details later, when I'm not worn out in a great way, but verily, I have hit career gold.
